Likewise, according to Administrative Order (AO) number 39, the GWHS shall be for hosting the websites of National Government Agencies (NGAs), Government Financial Institutions (GFIs), and Government-Owned or Controlled Corporations (GOCC), including sites of inter-agency collaborations, programs, and projects. For Local Government Units, and other autonomous branches of the government, hosting shall be encouraged at the instance of the above – mentioned government entities. To clarify the list of services under the GWHS, consider this simple explanation first. 

There are things we need to publish a website online. Firstly is the domain name. For the GWHS, domain name ends with the top-level domain “.gov” (government) and the country code domain extension “.ph” (Philippines). An example here is

GHWS Service #1: Domain Name System (DNS) Hosting Service only 

This service is for government agencies that do not need website hosting.

GHWS Service #2: Web Hosting Service Only

This service is for government agencies that do not need a domain name. In other words, what they need is only a web space over the Internet.

This service is for government agencies that are transferring their DNS accounts and their website. The agency, however, has a domain name already.

GHWS Service #4: DNS Registration, DNS Hosting, And Web Hosting Service

This service is for government agencies that need a domain name, and are at the same time, applying for a new domain and web hosting services.

This service is for government agencies who want to update their current account with the iGovPhil Program.
